Are you planning to relocate your safe? Before you get started there are a number of things you might want to consider.
Removal, relocation and setup of large heavy safe require specialist equipment and a team of professional who are experience in assessing the logistics and safety measures required.
Here are a few things to take into consideration…
Empty the contents
Be mindful of the contents inside the safe as heavy items can easily be damaged during the moving process and contribute to the weight of the safe. If it contains bank notes or paperwork its okay to leave them inside.
Protect surrounding areas
When preparing for a safe relocation always prepare your surroundings by covering nearby furniture and flooring if available to avoid damages.
Provide as much information as possible
Will there be any obstacles? For example, stairways, narrow passages, tight corners and/or downward or upward hills. An on-site evaluation may be necessary to determine whether certain specialist equipment is needed.
Stay safe
Avoid serious risk of injury and bear in mind that moving safes require proper equipment, specialist knowledge and experience to ensure a smooth and hassle-free job.
